REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY AT DHEKELIA  MILITARY CEMETERY CYPRUS 2019

On a hot morning 28 degrees Kath and myself attended the Remembrance Service at the Military Cemetery in Dhekelia Larnaca Cyprus, before leaving Horwich a friend asked us to take a small silhouette soldier to place on the grave of his friend who was buried there in 1963 whilst serving in the army, this we did, we then joined a number of British Legion members and put about 500 small crosses on the graves of service men and women buried there, meanwhile Scouts Cubs and Guides for the local groups places white flowers on the graves of children who had died of an outbreak of gastroenteritis in the late 50s early 60s of which there were a lot very sad to see.
